Online learning advocates are pushing for policy changes that move away from seat-time requirements and promote anytime, anywhere options for all students. As such policies take effect, the stakes are high to demonstrate the changes are warranted. In this session, we will examine the evolution of seat-time policies in Michigan and look at student performance data from hundreds of students across the state to understand how theory differs from practice and what lessons can be learned.
